When it comes to volunteering, San Francisco Lyft drivers are unstoppable. A few months back, they partnered with Little Brothers to gives rides to seniors in their communities. Not long after, another group volunteered with Project Open Hand to provide nutritious meals for their elderly neighbors.

Across much of the US, cold winter weather is in full force. To combat these cold temps, six Chicago Lyft drivers volunteered to help keep the other Chicagoans in their communities warm.

Today, we’re thrilled to share that Lyft is the first transportation partner to team up with Google to show Now cards from the Google app. Whether you’re traveling to another city or heading home from a night out, you’ll get helpful Now cards — one tap and you’re taken directly to the Lyft app to request a ride.

Heading into tax season, Lyft has partnered with Intuit, the creators of everyone’s favorite tax-filing software. Through the partnership, Lyft drivers will get QuickBooks Self-Employed for free, and TurboTax Online at a largely discounted rate.

On December 5th, drivers in Denver partnered with Project Angel Heart to deliver meal kits to residents living with life-threatening illnesses. Serving over one-thousand meals a week, Project Angel Heart aims to provide ill Colorado residents with a week’s worth of homemade and nutritious meals.
As the holidays continue, so has the spirit of giving. This week, Lyft drivers in Austin gathered to deliver meals to those in need. They collaborated with Meals on Wheels And More, an organization that facilitates food delivery to homebound seniors, who often have limited financial support and are unable to prepare meals on their own.
